In May 2023, our Egypt Emergency Protection projects began as an immediate response to the exodus of hundreds of thousands of forcibly displaced refugees from Sudan, and later from Gaza, who fled their homes due to war and persecution.
They hoped to find safety in Egypt and other MENA countries, but many found uncertainty, exploitation, humiliation, abuse, detention, and homelessness — and witnessed their children starve. Many are also left without access to basic human rights, including safe shelter, healthcare, education, food, and clean water, leaving already emotionally and physically spent vulnerable families at greater risk of further exploitation.
Goodwill Caravan supports forcibly displaced people and vulnerable communities across Egypt, Gaza, Sudan, and Libya, helping individuals and families access the protection and essential services they need to rebuild their lives and integrate into their communities. We work to reduce the risks of trafficking, abuse, and further exploitation while supporting people to become safer, more resilient, and more independent.

Identify the Vulnerable
We work directly with vulnerable forcibly displaced refugees such as pregnant women, infants, and those with disabilities who live on the streets or in camps where children may be at risk.
Provide Emergency Services
This includes temporary accommodation, food and water, free medical attention, as well as legal support such as detention release or asylum applications.
Helping Integrate
We support our beneficiaries to integrate and find employment, facilitating access to free language classes as well as vocational and educational classes.
